Day 8

Aaron got a very nice impala while sitting at a water hole during the mid-day hours. It was a perfect shot at an animal facing directly at him. I don't know who was happier, Aaron or his father, Mike.

We have seen some wonderful sights as we drive the property. We find some old Zulu huts that have long ago been abandoned. There are some old graves near them and it is fascinating to piece together the personal history of some of the people who have been here.

We have also been through areas where the elephants have been. It is hard to comprehend the damage that these enormous animals do. Entire trees are pushed over and uprooted, but only very few leaves are eaten off the uppermost branches. We hope to see some more elephants on this trip.
